MOVING TO CLIMAX
URGENT CALL ON SHIPS (Rec. 0.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. Announcing that there would be no increase in the number of clothing coupons for the next six months from February 1, the President of the Board of Trade, Dr Hugh Dalton, said: “ Nearly all our wool, cotton, and leather must come from overseas, and as the war moves to a climax in the coming months there v/ill be many new and urgent calls upon our ships.”
