Mr H. F. Larsen, of the Department of Industries and Commerce, will leave to-morrow night on temporary transfer to Christchurch. During Mr Larsen’s absence from Dunedin his place will be taken by Mr J. M. Bremner. Mr and Mrs James Osborn, of Port Chalmers, have received advice that their son, Lance-corporal Finlayson Osborn, who was a prisoner of war in Camp 107. Italy, is now in Germany. Advice has been received that Sergeant N. J. McTaggart, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. McTaggart, of 18 Princes street, Musselburgh, who was a prisoner of war at P.G. 57, Italy, has been transferred to Stalag VIIIA, Germany. Advice has been received that Captain Andrew Frame, son of Mrs C. C. Frame, of Hardy street, St. Kilda, has been promoted to the rank of major,' and is now second in command of a Middle East battalion. Major Frame left with the second echelon and has served in Greece, Crete, and North Africa. Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr I. W Keller, Matron M. Hennessey, Mr and Mrs J. Taylor, and Miss D. B. Hooper for Wellington, Leading Aircraftman R. A. Moore, Mrs H, Seelye. and Mr and Mrs J. Y. Armstrong for Auckland. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were Mr H. Tarrant, Mrs M. Strathdee, Mr W. Donald, and Mr C. Kennedy from Auckland, Mr J. Smith, Mr J. Gormley Mr W. R. Saunders, Mr T. Gillespie, Miss W. Kennedy, and Miss H. Tarrant, from Wellington.
