Tahatika Picnic.-Beautiful weather favoured the annual picnic v a Ls«, h J?,eon Monday. It was the fifty-ninth sue cessive annual picnic held m this small bush settlement situated nine miles by road from Owaka. The attendance which included visitors from as far afield as Christchurch and Bluff, was a record. T)ie sports programme was an excellent on., comprising races for young and old, J“™P' ing and other events. In the evening a ball was held in the Tahatika Hall, and this also drew a record attendance. Personal.—Adjutant Flintoff, of the Salvation Army, Balclutha, has received notice of his transfer to Oxford, Canterbury, and will hold his farewell services to-morrow. His successor will be Captain Tong, of Green Island.
