A PROTECTED INDUSTRY
RABBITING IN AUSTRALIA (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 6. Rabbit trapping for carcasses will become a protected industry when the Australian meat rationing scheme comes into operation on January 17. Rabbit meat will not be rationed, and thus will supplement the meat obtained by coupons. , ~ In New South Wales rabbits are reported to be threatening food production over a wide area of the State, and plans to organise trapping are being welcomed.
