MIDDLE EAST DRAFT SICK, WOUNDED, AND FORMER PRISONERS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 0. Repatriated New Zealand prisoners of war from Italy, including some who escaped after the invasion by the Allied forces, were among a draft which returned recently to New Zealand. All were in good health and pleased to be home. Welcoming the draft, which included 29 sick and wounded soldiers and 94 repatriated prisoners of war, the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, expressed his gratitude to those men on land, sea, and in the air who had done so much for the Allied cause, and said he hoped that the returned men would soon be restored to complete health. The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, and the Minister of Rehabilitation, Mr C. F. Skinner, also extended a welcome. The following Otago sick, wounded, and other personnel were included in the draft: — 9
