TWO WAIKATO MINES
MANY MEN ABSENT (Special) AUCKLAND, Jan. 6. Both the Glen Afton and MacDonald collieries in the Huntly district were opened for work yesterday morning, but there were many absentees. At the Glen. Afton mine only 19 miners out of a total of 39 presented themselves for work, and at the MacDonald mine only six out of a total of 93 appeared.
