COMING ATTRACTIONS

OCTAGON THEATRE One of the most thrilling dramas of the war yet produced, “ Commandos Strike at Dawn,” will be screened at the Octagon Theatre to-morrow. Paul Muni is in the starring role, and is assisted by a strong supporting cast, including Anna Lee. Lillian Gish, Sir Cedric .Hardwicke, and Robert Cocte. ” Commandos Strike at Dawn ” is based on C. S. Forester’s Cosmopolitan Magazine story of a Norwegian patriot who, forced to flee when his underground activities are exposed, escaped to England with vital military information concerning an enemy airport in his beloved country. He leads a commando raid on the field and upon his own town, rescuing his friends and neighbours from the hated Nazis. Muni appears as the Norwegian, a meteorologist, a simple philosopher who watches the horror of Nazi occupation turn his happy village into a confusion of terror and hatred. Realising that the time has come to kill or be killed, he mobilises the people of his community to wage incessant and unrelenting warfare.
