INQUIRY ABOUT A SOLDIER
The Mayor (Mr J. C. Kirkness) has received a letter from the Mayoress of Woodville (Mrs J. Forbes), asking if it would be possible for him to get in touch with a soldier who returned to Oamaru recently from the Middle' East and was at the convalescent hospital with her son, Corporal R. M. Forbes, 7th New Zealand Field Company. Mrs Forbes is anxious to receive news of her son, and the soldier concerned is asked to communicate with the Mayor.
