DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS AMERICA’S GOOD OFFICES (Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 4. The Secretary of State, Mr Cordell Hull, at a press conference, Indicated that the United States will make an effort to bring Poland and Russia together diplomatically and thus prevent any flare-up now that the Red Army has crossed the Polish frontier. When asked about President Mikolajczyk’s visit, Mr Hull replied that the purpose could be inferred from the situation in Europe. He added that the United States Government had given very careful attention to ail such matters when practical and feasible. All such studies are made in the friendliest spirit.
