BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICES J>OROUGH OF PORT CHALMERS. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER. AUTHORISING THE RAISING A LOAN OF £BOO FOR PURCHASE OF LAND FOR WATER RESERVES. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port' Chalmers Borough Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Monday, November 15. 1948. passed the following Resolution, viz.:— 1. THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and pursuant to the term of a Requisition issued under Section 22 of “ The Health Act, 1920," and all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling it. the Port Chalmers Borough Council hereby resolves (so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order) to raise a Special Loan of Eight Hundred Pounds (£800) for the purpose of defraying the cost of the purchase by the Corporation of the Borough of Port Chalmers of those parcels of land situated in the North Harbour and Blueskin District containing 144 acres 36 poles (more or less), being Sections 72, 73 (excepting certain parts thereof), 2 of 75, and part Section 74, Block VII, of the said District, such lands to be acquired for the purposes of water reserves. 2. THAT the term of the said Special Loan shall be Ten (10) Years from JANUARY 1, 1944. 3. THAT the interest payable on the said Special Loan shall be at the rate of Three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s) per centum per annum, payable halfyearly on the Ist day of July and Ist day of January in each year during the currency of the loan. 4. THAT the said Special Loan be raised by the issue of debentures for the amounts and repayable on the dates respectively as hereinafter set out: £SO on January 1, 1945; £SO on January 1, 1946; £SO on January 1, 1947; £SO on January 1, 1948; £IOO on January 1, 1949; £IOO on January 1. 1950; £IOO on January 1, 1951; £IOO on January 1, 1952; £IOO on January 1, 1953; £IOO on January 1, 1954. 5. THAT the interest and principal moneys payable under the said debentures shall be secured upon the ordinary revenue of the Port Chalmers Borough Council and shall be paid thereout and be charged to the Water Account. 6. THAT the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Corporation of the Borough of Port Chalmers be affixed to all such debentures and that' the debentures and coupons be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the Boroug'h Treasurer, but So that the signatures to the coupons shall be lithographic print. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolution will be submitted to an ORDINARY MEETING of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Beach street, Port Chalmers, on MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, 1943, at 7.30 o'clock p.m., for CONFIRMATION as a SPECIAL ORDER.
