West Coast Dredges.—The following hre the returns for the first half of November from three West Coast dredges:— Barrytown, 3220 z. 259 hours, 111,000 yards; Kani'eri, 7260 z. 259 hours, 94,000 yards; Arahura, 5860 z. 244 hours, 136,000 yards. Placer Development, Ltd. —The annual general meeting of Pato Consolidated Gold Dredging, Ltd., in which Placer Development, Ltd., holds 1,150,000 shares, was held on October 22. In the five months from May 1 to September 30, 1943, 4,605,000 yards of gravel were handled for a recovery of 39,1260 z of fine gold valued at 1,369.410 United States dollars.
