WHITE HERONS AT KARITANE
Two white herons have been seen recently on the Karltane estuary. These birds are protected. It has been reported that shots have been fired at them, and a warning has been issued by the Otago Acclimatisation Socdety that immediate action will be taken against such offenders. Three blue herons, which are also protected, have been seen around the same area.
