ADMIRAL BROWNRIGG MISSING RUGBY, Nov. 15. Included in an Admiralty casualty list published on Monday is Admiral Sir H. J. S. Brownrigg, posted as “missing, presumed killed.” Admiral Brownrigg, who was 60 years of age, took part in .the Battle of Jutland in 1916, winning the D.S.O. mouth, from 1927 to 1929. He was appointed captain of H.M.S. Courageous in 1930, and later commanded the Third Cruiser Squadron. In the Mediterranean during 1935 he was made admiral commanding, reserves the following year, and in 1939 was appointed commander-in-chief, The Nore. During the next two years he commanded the Chatham area of the Home Guard, at the same time being director of the Greenwich Hospital.
