CHINA CAMPAIGN
TUNGTING LAKE AREA ENEMY FORCES REINFORCED (Rec. 1.15 a.m.) CHUNGKING, Nov. 15. The Chinese repulsed a new attack in the Tungting Lake area by reinforced Japanese forces, states a communique. The Chinese also killed more than 400 Japanese after a threeday battle in the Salween River area. Fourteenth Air Force bombers aided the hard-pressed Chinese by pounding the enemy base at Lungling, hitting the barracks.
