FIGHTING FRENCH

CONFIDENCE IN GENERAL DE GAULLE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. In a statement to the press, M. de la Tribouille. delegate of Fighting France in New Zealand, says: “According to information published on November 11, the Algiers correspondent of the New York Times declares that ‘ General de Gaulle’s complete political victory is causing concern in circles in London and Washington which, for many reasons, have viewed with concern and distrust the trend in Algiers towards General de Gaulle.’

“ These ‘ many reasons ’ only increase French confidence in General de Gaulle, whose patriotism and loyalty know no form of expediency. The ‘ concern ’ and ‘ distrust ’ mentioned by the correspondent of the New York Times can only strengthen the general's prestige among his fellow-countrymen. The French people reject all foreign interference in their own political affairs.”
