PRINCIPLES AND METHODS
INFORMATION LACKING (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. The regulations under the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act were considered at a special meeting to-day of the emergency executive of the Wellington branch of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. In a subsequent statement the institute expressed the view that the regulations consisted mainly of details of the statements and declarations required in submitting applications for consent to the sale, transfer, or lease of property and to claims for compensation. The regulations did not set out the principles under which the land sales committees were to carry out the provisions of the Act. The statement added that it was obviously very desirable that the methods and procedure to be followed by the committees in various parts of the Dominion should be unified and these details published at the earliest possible date.
