PATRIOTIC FUNDS
You’re bound to have heard of the good work being done among our servicemen and women by the Y.M.C.A., Salvation Army, Church Army, Catholic War Services’ Board, or other allied welfare organisations, and if they are sick, wounded, or prisoners of war, by the Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the N.Z. Red Cross. They're all doing a grand job. But where do these organisations get the funds? You, your next-door neighbour, others in your district, and lots of others you know are, we hope providing them. All who contribute to the All Purposes Patriotic Appeal have a share in making-possible the provision of the comforts and amenities which mean so much to the men and women serving their country. Has your district raised its quota of this year's appeal? That is very important from the point of view of the good name of your district, your reputation as a respected resident and the welfare of our men and women overseas.—!.
