DAILY INTERCESSION
Most humbly, O Lord, we acknowledge ourselves unworthy as a nation of the high place and great opportunities Thou hast given us. We confess our thoughtlessness and selfishness, our pride of race, our misuse of power, our forgetfulness of Thee. Deliver us from our shortcomings, and create m us a right spirit, that we may be reverent in our use af freedom, generous in the protection of weakness, and just in the exercise of power, as becomes those who have received so great a trust at Thy hands; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
