NAVY LEAGUE SEA CADETS
During the last seven weeks, nine members of the Otago Division of the Navy League Sea Cadet Corps have left Dunedin to join the Royal New Zealand Navy. Three have been accepted for long-term service and the other six for war-time service. There are now 96 cadets in the division, which is at present engaged in specialised training. On completion of this course, 15 cadets will be selected to take part in a special course at the training centre at Quail Island in January. Members of the Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch divisions will also par-. ticipate. Week-end training will be commenced next month on the training ship Waireka, the boys living on board from Friday night to Sunday night of cacn week.
