ROXBURGH
Borough Council.—The monthly meeting of the Roxburgh Borough Council was held on Thursday last, and was attended by the Mayor (Mr F. A. Laloli), Crs T. Waigth, J. Martin, W. Haughton, J. Weaver, G. Jeffery, J. Gilchrist, F. Varcoe, and W. Henderson.—The Commissioner of Works wrote inquiring what the financial proposals were for the rehabilitation projects. To be advised that the council would find the materials required for the three schemes submitted, but would require to have a full wage subsidy granted.—ln connection with small jobs done by the staff, it was decided that a minimum charge of Is for jobs under a quarter of an hour be made.
