Mr J. L. Salmond left yesterday for Wellington.

Mr W. Stevenson left for Wellington yesterday morning.

Mr Douglas Spedding, president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, left yesterday for Wellington to witness the South Island v. North Island mgteh to-morrow. The Rev. E. C. Walsh, interim minister of the Roslyn Presbyterian Church, lias received a call to the Morninglon Presbyterian Church. Mr C. R. Spackman left for Christchurch yesterday to conduct performances of his choral work “The Burning of the House of Miru," by the Christchurch Harmonic Society and 3YA Orchestra.

Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr H. M. Taylor, Mr Brown,- and Mr C. G Fraser for Christchurch. Mrs E. L. Young, Mr C. Webster for Wellington, Mrs R. D. Coghill, and Masters R. and B. Coghill for Auckland. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were Mr and Mrs Osmond, Mr G. J. Williamson, and Mrs G. M. Boyd from Wellington, Mr N. W.
