RECENT ARMED HOLD-UP
THREE SERVICEMEN ARRESTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. Three servicemen, who, it is alleged, were involved in'an armed taxi holdup •in Wellington on Saturday night, have been apprehended, and are in confinement awaiting trial by , court martial for the offence. Advice has been received from the Marine Corps headquarters that of nine cases of trouble between men in uniform and taxi drivers reported to the conference of authorities yesterday, only seven were reported to the Marine Corps at the time. Of five arrests made, only two of the men. were subject to the disciplinary control of the provost section. These were dealt with according to military law. Two others of ’the men were of a special unit, and the fifth was a seafarer.
