TECHNICAL COLLEGE CONCERT

To lovers of good music the forthcoming festival of music of the King Edward Technical College should make a special appeal. The Senior Orchestra, under Mr Frank Callaway, will play J. C. Bach's beautiful " Sinfonia in B flat major," and tire promising young violinist, James Timlin, Andante from the "Concerto in E minor” (Mendelssohn). A special feature of this year's festival will be the appearance of the Senior Military Band under Mr Leonard S. White. On the choral side, 650 voices, divided at times into as many as six parts, form a massed choir which will present a programme of sacred and secular music, much of which has been specially arranged by Dr Vernon Griffiths. Professor V. E. Galway will be at the grand organ. The net proceeds are to be devoted to the Patriotic Fund.
