managemf;nt committee A meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Rugby Football Union was held last night. The president (Mr W. J. Pearson) occupied the chair. Tile Flag Committee recommended that the unplayed match., between University Medical and Training College should be played on a date to be. .arranged. It recommended the playing of other postponed matches as follows:—-August 21, Air Force v. Training College, as a curtainraiser to the Otago-Cantcrbury. match; August 28, Training dollega v. Dunedin and Air Force v. Kaikorai. The committee recommended that if the University Medical and Dunedin teams were then level, a play-off should be arranged on September 4.—-The report was adopted,, The secretary of the South Otago Subunion (Mr R. W. Cuthbcrtj wrote sug'gesting that a match 'should be played in September, either at Milton or Balclutha, between a South Otago representative team and an Otago Second Division team.—The matter was deferred to enable inquiries to be made regarding transport arrangements. The chairman said that the clubs had expressed their appreciation of the work being done by Mr Ira Grant in showing the instructional film produced by the New Zealand Union. Saturday’s Fixtures
