FATE IN THE BALANCE
BULGARIAN GOVERNMENT (Rec. 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 8. The crisis in Bulgaria may lead to the fall of the pro-Axis Government of Professor FilofF, says a message received at Istanbul from Sofia. M. Kyusievanov.the former Prime Minister, who tried to keep Bulgaria neutral, has, it is reported, returned to Sofia suddenly from Switzerland, where, as Bulgarian Minister, he has been virtually an exile. M. Kyusievanov, it is stated, reported immediately to King Boris and presented a pessimistic account of the Axis position.
Observers at Istanbul say M. Kyusievanov may soon overthrow Professor FilofF and begin negotiations with the Allies.
