WESTERN MAORI ELECTORATE
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 9. Mr Pei Te Hurinui Jones, a licensed Maori interpreter, of Hawera, is standing as the Labour candidate for Western Maori. He is being sponsored by Princess Te Puea and members of the Maori “ King ” family. He has twice unsuccessfully contested the Western Maori seat as an Independent.
