Following the publication yesterday of the report that two or more sons of six New Zealand families have received air awards overseas, news has been received to-day of a further addition to this notable record. The latest to join the list are Mr and Mrs E. A. Thompson, of Waipiro Bay, whose son, Flight Sergeant Forest Harold Thompson. has been awarded the D.F.M. for work in many big raids over Germany and Italy as a member of a Stirling crew His brother, > the late Flying Officer Onslow Thompson, was also awarded the D.F.M. An interesting point is that of the seiren New Zealand families _ with double air awards three reside in the Gisborne district.
