YELLOW-CRESTED PENGUIN

The yellow-crested penguin which was found last week on the St. Clair Beach continues to attract many visitors to the Otago Museum, where it is at present on view. When the bird was found it W3S so weak that it could not stand, but it has made a good recovery, and is now feeding out of the hands of visitors. The oil with which the penguin w r as covered is gradually being removed, but it is expected that it will be about a month before this operation is completed.
