THE RAGLAN SEAT (P.A.) AUCKLAND. July 12. The National Party candidate for Raglan at the General Election will be Mr R. J. Glasgow. A farmer at Onewhero, Mr Glasgow is a member of the Raglan County Council and other local bodies in his district, and is also president of the Franklin Farmers’ Union, chairman of the local Primary Production Council, and past president of the Franklin Rugby Union. BAY OF PLENTY SEAT (P.A.) OPOTIKI, July 12. The Bay of Plenty Representation Committee announces that the official Labour candidate to contest the Bay of Plenty seat will be Mr W. W. Jonasen, of Makaraka, Gisborne. Mr Jonasen followed the teaching profession for 16 years, and then entered business with Messrs C. G. Ansell' and Co., Makaraka.
