S* Barr returned home this morning from the Dunedin meeting, and he will go north to-night to superintend the final work •of the steeplechaser Erination for the Auckland meeting on Saturday, and Monday. Edward was left at Wingatui, and his second in the Tahuna Steeplechase last Saturday makes him look a prospect for this week in similar company. Several Riccarton jockeys have arrived back from Wingatui, but they will g;. south.again this week for the second day. Among those to return was R. Register, who has been engaged to ride Benevolent, Nightcalm, and Frince Shad again next Saturday; " .
