RETURNS FOR APRIL DEPOSITS TOTAL £110,025,000 The principal items in the return of assets and liabilities of the six trading banks at the close of business on Monday, April 26. are compared with those at March 29 in the following table:—

Overseas liabilities on New Zealand account total £455,706 in the April statement, compared with £613,033 at the end of March. Subsidiary coin held at April 26 was valued at £466,470,- against £591,373 a month before.
