MICHAEL JOSEPH SAVAGE

Let Us Remember: A Memory of the Late Prime Minister. By R. Salwell (Lawrence) .

In the book of Ecclesiastes it is written “Let us now praise famous men,” and on Mr Salwell has devolved the pleasant task of praising one of the most popular figures that has crossed the political stage in New Zealand. Halfway through his life he had Not mastered the art of debate. His Rudiments of learning were gleaned In the hard world of knocks and pain. C. R. A.
