ADDRESSES BY MINISTERS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Apl. 19. Addresses by Mr Fraser, Mr Nash, and Mr Sullivan were among the main features at the opening session of the sixth annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Labour to-day, at which Mr McLagan presided. Other Ministers present were Mr Parry, Mr O’Brien, and Mr’ Wilson. Mr Fraser reviewed the war situation, referring in particular to man-power, defence construction works, and the stabilisation plan, and thanked the federation for its co-operation during a very difficult period. Mr Nash dealt with his stay in America, and Mr Sullivan gave figures covering New Zealand’s production for war purposes and for civilian consumption.
