THE WOOL PAYMENT
OBJECTION TO METHOD (P.A.) INVERCARGILL. Mar. 12. Strong objection to the Government’s retention of portion of the increased price of wool allowed by the British Government was voiced at a meeting of the Southland Executive of the Fanners’ Union to-day. The Meat and Wool Committee considered that the retention of a portion of the increase was a deliberate “steal” by.the Government, said Mr G. A. Hamilton. It was decided to recommend that a test case be taken and to suggest that the branches should call public meetings.
