LADY GALWAY GUILD
The opening meeting of the Port Chalmers branch of the Lady Galway Guild was held in the Mayor’s room on Wednesday, when Mrs H. S. Watson presided. Plans for the year Were discussed, and it was decided that, as more clothing is needed for re-making into garments, an appeal to Port Chalmers residents be made on March 29. The guild will enlist the help of the local members of the Sea Scouts and Boys' Brigade, who will call at homes on that date for parcels. In future, the guild will meet every second and fourth Wednesday afternoon in the committee room of the Council Chambers.
