Mins M. Greenfield left yesterday to enter a northern W.A.A.C. camp. Miss K. E. Martin-Smith, of Rotorua, is the guest of Mrs F. G. Duncan, of Tolcarne. Mrs E. H. Williams has returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrs Forbes O’Rorke, at Hororata. Mrs C. G. May has returned from a visit to her brother, Mr Hugh Haggitt, of Masterton. Mrs Denis Herrick has returned from an extended visit to Hastings, where she was the guest of Mr and Mrs E. J. Herrick, of Lindisfarne. Miss Beatrice Dawson, who has been the guest of Mrs J. T. Dawson, of Sheen street, left by plane on Thursday for Wellington. Mrs Phillip Martin, of Christchurch, who is paying a visit to Dunedin, entertained friends to an afternoon party at the Savoy on Thursday. She will leave to-day on her return north. Miss Jean McKellar has arrived from Auckland to visit her mother, Mrs G. F. McKellar, of St. Clair. Mrs W. A. McKellar, of Christchurch, is also a guest of Mrs G..F. McKellar. Mrs James Gore and her daughter, who have been tourning the North Island for the past 10 months, are at present visiting Auckland, where they intend to remain until April. Miss Ethel Law, of Wellington, general secretary for the Y.W.C.A. in New Zealand, is visiting Dunedin to assist with the organising of the Y.W.C.A. effort to raise funds to meet the expense necessitated by the increase in the association’s work. She is the guest of Mrs Mackie Begg, of Claremont street. Mrs J. K. Begg, who has recently taken up residence in St. Clair, was entertained at several afternoon functions before she left Abbotsford. Her hostesses included Mrs W. Stevenson, Mrs W. Lindsay, and Mrs T. L. Begg. On each occasion she received a gift and good wishes.
