RETURNED SERVICES’ CHOIR

The twenty-fourth annual meeting of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Choir was held in the R.S.A. rooms, the chairman. Mr Adam Smith, presiding over a large attendance of members. The chairman commented on the various activities of the choir during the past 12 months and drew attention to the satisfactory state of the finances. Mr L. B. Borrow was unanimously re-elected conductor and Miss Sybil Baker pianist, several members paying a tribute to their ability and enthusiasm in the interests of the choir. , It was reported that several members were still absent on military duties, and the hope was expressed that before long they would be back to take their places in 'the ranks. A hearty invitation was extended to all returned servicemen, especially those of the 2nd N.Z.E.F., to join in 'the weekly practices. Membership of the association is all that is necessary to participate in the many privileges associated with the choir.
