GOLDEN WEDDING
■ There was a happy gathering at St. Ronan, Kaikorai Valley, yesterday, when relatives and friends of Mr and Mrs Pringle Walker assembled to pay their respects to them on the occasion of their golden wedding. Mr Robert Jamieson, who was best man at the wedding, presided, and, with several other speakers, referred to the kindness of Mr and Mrs Walker and family during their long stay in the district, and extended them best wishes for the future. Many congratulatory messages were received.
