OCTAGON THEATRE
Melodrama and comedy are skilfully blended in Ernst Lubitsch s newest film production, ” To Be or Not To Be ” which will have its local premiere at the Octagon Theatre to-morrow. The film, which was released through United Artists, stars Jack Benny and Carole Lombard, two people very adept in comedy, and has as its setting the capital town of Poland at the time of the Nazi invasion. The chief characters are a group of actors of a Polish theatre who are forced to give up their theatrical roles for a real-life drama that proves to be far more exciting than any they have ever played in the theatre. After a series of startling complications, the members of the troupe escape from Poland to England.
