FRIEDMAN PIANO RECITAL
Ignaz Friedman, who is to give a public recital in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday next, began his real career as a piano virtuoso in 1904. He made his debut in Vienna, where he played the Brahms, Tschaikowsky, and Liszt concertos and, together with his appearances with orchestra, presented a series of piano recitals at which he played the Beethoven "Apassionata ” Sonata, the Chopin Sonata in B minor, the Brahms Paganini Variations, the Liszt “ Don Juan ” Fantasy, and other important works. Box plans for his recital in Dunedin are now open at Begg’s.
