TROUBLE AT MARSEILLES
MARTIAL LAW AT OLD PORT (Rec. 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 25. The correspondent of the Daily Telegraph on the French frontier reports that the Germans are rushing artillery and tanks to the old port area of Marseilles, where large numbers of Frenchmen are reported to have barricaded themselves inside houses from which they are firing on all who attempt to approach. The Vichy Government has declared martial law in the area.
