TAXI-CAB FARES
' Sir,—l was more than surprised when a correspondent replied to my letter in which I asked you what the taxi charge was from Sawyers' Bay to Port Chalmers. I know that what you stated was correct, because the driver of a motor car told me before he went to his car that that was his charge. I do not worry because I read in the paper of a motor car driver being fined for having overcharged, as I can do the same to him.—l am, etc., R. S. B.
