GENERAL FREYBERG’S SON
COMMISSION IN THE GUARDS (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 15. Paul Freyberg, son of General Sir Bernard Freyberg, who left Eton at 17£ years of age to become a-private in the N.Z.E.F., has now returned to England to take up a commission in the Grenadier Guards. He served in Greece, Crete, and Libya, where he was wounded. It is understood that he was commissioned in the Guards as he intends to become a regular soldier.
