ITEMS OF INTEREST IN AND ABOUT TOWN Band Concert. —On Sunday, the Oamaru Garrison Band presented a subsidy concert in the Public Gardens, the following being the programme: March, “True Coniracles M ; patrol, *' The Turkish Patrol ; hymns, “ Denton Park ” and “ Hutton ”; fantasia, "American Beauties march, “ Voice of the Guns two-step, “ Hiawatha waltz, “ Forest Flowersand the quickstep, “The National Guard.” Tides.—To-day, at the Port of Oamaru, high tides will be at 4.10 a.m. and 4.37 p.m. , . Patriotic Market.—The patriotic market next Friday will be conducted in Taylor’s I shop by the St. Luke's parishioners. Women’s Brass Band.—The Dunedin Ladies’i Brass Band will visit Oamaru next Saturday and Sunddy, and a tentative programme, which includes a dance in conjunction with the Oamaru Garrison Band and the North Otago Scottish Society on Saturday night, a visit to the Independent Infantry Company's camp on Sunday morning, and a combined concert with the Oamaru Garrison Band on Sunday afternoon, has been arranged. AMUSEMENTS Opera House.—" The Sun Never Sets,” a story of the British diplomatic services, will be shown to-night. It has a fine cast, including Douglas Fairbanks, jun., Basil Rathbone, Virginia Field, Lionel Atwill, Barbara O’Neill, Melville Cooper, and C. Aubrey Smith. Majestic Theatre.—" You'll Never Get Rich,” an excellent comedy, as proved by the reception it was given by a large audience on Saturday night, will be shown finally to-night.
