ORKNEY AND SHETLAND SOCIETY
The monthly social of the Orkney and Shetland Society was held on Saturday night. The president (Mr A. Fraser) opened the social with a short address of welcome. The evening was spent in dancing, interspersed with the following items:— Songs, Mrs A. Caldwell and Mr W. Stevenson, sen.; tap dancing, Miss Norma Frankham. The winners of the " movie waltz " were Mrs K. Fraser and partner. Music was supplied by Messrs Hargreaves and Mac Murray, and Mr G. R. Borwick acted as M.C.
