PROPERTY SALE Messrs James Samson and Co. report having offered by auction, under instructions from the District Public Trustee, two freehold business premises at St. Clair, in the estate of Ellen Pargiter. The first, which consisted of a corner shop with dwelling of five rooms, known as No. 236 Forbury road, was knocked down to Mr J. Nicholson, at a satisfactory price. The second property, a shop, with three living rooms, did not reach the reserve, and was withdrawn. Negotiations are in progress for the sale of this property. COLOMBO TEA SALE Mr L. M. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of June 15:— At Monday's sale of 2,500,0001 b common teas were in strong demand at firm prices, but medium and fine grades were irregular and easier. The quality of the offerings was plain. A total of 2,250,0001 b will be submitted to buyers at the next sale.
