SOCIAL AT RAVENSBOURNE

The opportunity was taken on Tuesday night in the Coronation Hall, Ravensbourne, to entertain Sergeant Pilot Raymond Rawlings, who left the district yesterday to resume his duties with the Air Force. There was a good attendance of residents and an enjoyable time was spent. Making a presentation of a wallet to Sergeant Pilot Rawlings on behalf of the local Soldiers' Welfare Committee, the Mayor (Mr E. J. Taylor;, expressed the gratitude of the residents for the sacrifices that were being made in their interests and wished him a safe and early return. Sergeant Pilot Rawlings suitably replied.
