DELAY IN AIR MAIL
People who have received no news from relatives or friends in Great Britain for some considerable time may find consolation in the fact that air mail letters which were over seven months in transit have been received recently by several Invercargill residents. The letters were post-marked on October 28 in England. The delay probably occurred after the mail had been taken by surface routes to either Africa or India, whence it is flown south.
