Mr J. T. Hamann left for Wellington by the- express last night. Mr Allan J. Moody, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, has been reelected for a third term of two years. Commander G. W. Morrison, R.N., of Timaru, who was previously reported missing, is, according to advice received recently, a prisoner of war in Hongkong. Mr S. G. Scoular. Mr C. R. McLean, and Mr H. H. Jefcoate left by the night express last night to attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Services' Association. Information has been received in New Zealand that the King has approved the award of the Distinguished Service Cross to Lieutenant-comman-der Gordon Bridson. R.N.Z.N.V.R.. and Lieutenant-commander John George Hilliard, R.N.Z.N.V.R.
