DAMAGED BY FIRE
LORD BEAVERBROOK'S HOME (Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON, May 11. Fire considerably damaged Lord Beaverbrook’s house, Cherkley Court, Leatherhead. Lord Beaverbrook himself discovered the smoke and superintended the removal of the furniture. This is the third home he has lost since the outbreak at Stornoway House, London, which was destroyed by a bomb. He later occupied a flat, which was set on fire by an incendiary bomb.
